I hate paying 90+ dollars for an OS. Someone recommended to buy it on reddit and gave me this link.

https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/comments/3udo1i/h_office_2016_for_pc_mac_now_in_stock_windows_10/

Is this guy reliable(not a scammer)? Is reddit secure? This is my first time using reddit so i'm kinda confused.

Any other legal methods to get a cheap OS?

Get any Seasonic or XFX, or a EVGA G2 or GS instead of that PSU.

Seriously, people pay $90 on games at release that they spend 20 hours on, but people cannot spend $90 on an OS that will last the whole life of their computer?

Windows hasn't gone up it cost, it was $99 in 1986, meaning every year it costs less than  the previous.

Yeah but but an $80 discount means an upgrade to your system. Thanks for the advice on the PSU

You could always try Ubuntu. It's free and has support for lots of things now.

Yea problem with that is, that Ubuntu requires learning something new and different, and not everything works on unbuntu sadly. Not to mention it's not mainstream ( not that it's a bad thing ) but most games and other things requires doing something with Windows.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

The same thing can be said about many things.

You could buy last years version of X game instead of this years.

You could spend less on the case and spend more on the GPU.

And the keys sold on reddit are usually stolen or mined, Dev keys or volume licensed. Even if they were OEM keys, buying them second hand still breaks the eula.

There are ways to get windows for free or discounted legally. Your school, University or Work may supply you with a product key (or 4 in my case (7, 8, 8.1 and 10))

Just use wine for windows apps. As far as learning goes, I think if you give it a try you will find its easier than you think. I tried it and figured it out in a day, super easy to use. Only topped by OSX when it comes to user-friendliness in my opinion.

Don't do drugs. Do hugs!
