BIOS

Rhett M. Quigley

Computer boots to fast to enter bios, I tried the alternate way.

  1. Click the Start menu and select Settings.
  2. Select Update and Security.
  3. Click Recovery.
  4. Under Advanced startup, click Restart now. ...
  5. Select Troubleshoot.
  6. Choose Advanced options.
  7. Select UEFI Firmware Settings.
  8. Click Restart to restart the system and enter UEFI (BIOS).

Except I do not have "select uefi firmware setings" available, so how do I do it?

One way that I have done it is to essentially trick the OS into thinking there is an issue (depending on the bios) by repeatedly pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del until the safe mod option comes up, you should (if I am remembering this correctly) be able to then access the BIOS.

Do you know what keys to press to enter your bios? I ask because there are some manufacturers that require... interesting... key presses... *Ahem* Acer *Ahem*
