Hd 6950 OC help

I will list my pc parts below. My question is if I am safe to overclock the hd 6950 and where to. Did anyone ever overclock it and if so what were your results/what mhz did you set it to? Also what program should I be using?

Specs:

Core i-3 2130 (3.4 ghz)

Xfx dd HD 6950

xfx ts 550w

4gb ram (trying to get one of my 8gb ram sticks to work, it might be dead)

1TB hhd

Not every card will OC the same, but you will probably get an average of 900mhz core and 1320-1340 memory

the 6950 PE that I have with do 1000MHz core and 1450 memory  stable

Can I quickly ask what program you used as afterburner only goes upto 840?

MSI afterburner and you go to the settings and enable Unoffical Overclock in the settings for AMD restart and bam your all good
