Hard Drive Partitioning
Go to solution
Solved by bloader,
So my Toshiba 3TB drive arrived today, I transferred all of my data from my Seagate 1TB to the new drive successfully. Weirdly, about 750GB of the space of the hard drive is completely unusable. It's showing as unallocated in Disk Management, and when I try to create a simple volume, the options are greyed out. The largest partition I could make was exactly 2TiB.
Anybody know what might be going on?
it has to be set up as GPT for it to use more than 2tb
