So i posted about this earlier and eventually decided to refresh my windows(without deleting all my files) with a windows 10 iso on a usb.

When i try to do this i get the error that the station is locked and that i should unlock it to continue.

Then i went back to the command bootrec /rebuildbbcd.

"Total identified windows installations: 1

 [1] C:\Windows

Add installation to boot list? Yes/No/All"

So i enter "yes" (i assume this is the one i'm supposed to choose?) and then i get the error: "a device connected to the system isn't working"

Does anyone know how to solve any of these issues please?

Not that i know of, when i check the volumes of my C-drive, there does appear to be a volume called "recovery" but its only 400Mb.

400 mb is not nearly enough for a Windows Install. Something is seriously wrong. Do a fresh install of Windows.

my windows install is much larger than 400mb, just that specific volume called"recovery" is only 400mb. I'd rather try to fix it instead of doing a fresh install since i cant do a fresh install while keeping my files unless i take out the harddrive and copy my files to another harddrive which is something i cant do right now since i only have 2 laptops with me right now.

Gotcha. Can you post a picture of the error you're getting?
