So I am installing bootcamp and a version of Windows OS on a 2012 macbook pro, any advice for which version works best being 7, 8, or 10?

Im not 100% sure but they all should work. They are all build on the same architecture.

That being said i have personally tested windows 7 on my Mid09 MBP and it worked great. If you want to run Win10, go for it!

She wants to play a game that runs on windows only but still has a decent macbook that is running well. So cheap solution.

Lol i love your enthusiasm to answer the question at hand but you may want to keep your head down now, the trolls are coming.

I love my MBP, but have to agree they are not a gaming PC. Thermal Throttling is their nickname. I'm an Apple Fanboy so i know...
