tell your isp about that illegal attack

Your ISP should already be stopping DDoS I thought, but yeah call them up, if they can reset the IP of your router, then whoever is attack will have to find you again.

Are you sure it's a DDoS, and not just a DoS? He may just be attacking from one or a few systems - if you have a better router, it may have some DDoS mitigation options, like not responding to pings, blocking IP ranges, and what not.

"talk to" is this a friend or a stranger? If it is a friend, you need new friends. If it's a stranger, you're an idiot.
Anyways, deliver the kik.
IP release, restarting router etc should do the trick.
Also might want to check your router to see if it's vulnerable.

Your router is fine, doubt you even have enough bandwidth for your router to sweat.

Keep restarting your modem until you get new IP or just call your ISP to get your IP changed.

Also, don't contact him again.

You might want to restart your router as well.

*Yawn* anyways check your router for any vulnerability. Also check your router log, there's a slim chance he's not masking his true IP.
You can find the source here. https://github.com/elvanderb/TCP-32764

he asked OP to go to a webpage, thus revealing OP's IP address, OP can use wireshark to find out what IP the booter is running from and then block comms with that IP

I don't think you understand how modern day booters or "stressers" work.

Number 1, the logger is offloaded to a different server most likely even if not, it's probably using cloudflare so all you'll get in your tcp dump is just california cloudflare ips

Number 2, they don't use DoS anymore doge, most likely using NTP,SNMP or DNS amp to name a few so he can't wireshark it since its just reflectors.

almost as bad as the retarded hiss comments he spawns

I've watched some of his videos and none of them have any structure. It's just him screaming about something and laughing at his own jokes with his friends. 99% of the time he is wrong about whatever he is bashing on.

I've used this to deduce that 99.999999% of the hiss commenters actually have no idea why they are hissing, and are simply doing it because they saw someone else do it.
