Before I am using 2x2GB Gskill RipjawsX RAM and after more than a year of use my PC had problems.

I did my own troubleshooting and found out 1 RAM is bad already. So I purchased a new and upgraded one 2x4GB Gskill RipjawsX.

Now I am building a new PC. I have 1pc 2GB RAM and 2pc 4GB RAM.

I am thinking to purchase 1x8GB Gskill RipjawsX to combine it with my 1pc 4GB RAM that I already have to get 12GB RAM.

So I will have 1pc 4GB RAM + 1pc 2GB RAM left and I will combine it to have 6GB RAM for another PC.

Will this work? If it does work, will it be fine? Or there will be reduced performance?

Thanks in advance!
