Nvidia Control Panel "Adjust Desktop Colour Settings" Problem

I have had this problem for quite some time now but I am finally getting round to trying to deal with it can anyone help me. I will describe the situation.

 

The sliders when moved change the display output colour however when the slider stops the colour is rest to what it was previous. 

 

Is this because the display is interfering or what, can anyone help.

Doesn't matter I have fixed it. It turned out Flux was preventing me from changing my settings.

DO NOT use software to adjust your colors. It creates banding (reduce colors).

Adjust your colors, and look at a full screen gradient. You'll notice steps.

 

Always use your monitor settings menu to adjust your colors.

Thanks but my monitor doesn't have color options other than 3 presets of Normal Warm and Cold.
