Graphics card suggestions?

Hi everyone,

I'm really itching for a new graphics card at the moment, as a single 980 can't seem to handle AAA games at 4K. What do you guys think? Should I get a second 980, get 2 980ti cards, or wait for pascal. The problem is we don't really know much about when pascal is coming out, but I'm not willing to wait more than 6 months.

Honestly I would wait until pascal. Its possible that it will deliver a single card that can drive 4K instead of you having to pick up two 980tis to accomplish it.

A single 980 Ti should do fine for 4K. But you can always get a Fury X or even a Titan X if you want the best performance.

If you can find a video card that does what you want now at a price you can afford, get it (them), on sale of course  .

 

Pascal is a ways off (Q2 2016 earliest), and will probably make your nose bleed when you see their introductory prices.  They will probably not drop their prices to something reasonable until AMD comes up with something competitive, so add another 3 to 6 months on to that.

 

That's a good 9 to 12 months of gaming you'll miss, unless you're playing WoW or farm simulator or some such.
