HDMI can only do 4K at 30Hz why did you even buy that TV it sucks. If anything you need a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.

It might work, but you will only get to 30hz.

that tv can only handle 30hz at 4k and hdmi can only do 4k at 30hz.
