Hey guys,

So I'm pre-shopping trying to figure out what TV I want to go grab (hopefully on sale), on Black Friday. I came across this amazing looking bundle on visions.ca. What is everyone opinions? I'm mostly interested in the TV+Sound bar (I have no fucking idea what the powerbar is all about). If it's a good deal, I'd be very keen on all that. I'm also considering getting an Nvidia shield, but it's like $300 CAD. Opinions on that as well? Or would I be best off getting an HDMI splitter, and having my my HDMI monitor (running triple monitors) and the TV both plug into the splitter, then just use that?

Here's the bundle:

..What are you talking about? 1080p isn't really ugly.

IMO 4k is too new of a technology for my liking. For instance, the CHEAPEST 55in 4k LG (for comparison reasons) is practically twice the price.

At such a large size it is.

1080p on a 27" monitor is pixelated enough.

What size do you recommend then. I was originally looking at the same LG TV, but 50in and 60hz, but people were bitching about how horrible 60hz is (whatever), and this one came in the bundle, with apparently a great soundbar.

I'd recommend a decent 42" @ 1440p or a 55" @ 4K. IMO, it's not worth it to get such a large display and it be ruined by a low resolution causing the image to appear pixelated even at distance.

There isn't a single 1440p at visions. And I can hardly justify spending well over a thousand dollars for a TV setup to go at the foot of my bed. I'm going to be checking out the quality of the TVs in person first as well.

Eh... 1080p would be OK if your budget can't allow for a higher resolution at the size you need.

Not to mention close family friends have a 60" 1080p, and from viewing 10-12 feet away, it still looks great. And even upon thinking about it, my buddy owns a fucking 75inch 1080p and it looks great.

A 1080p isn't going to be pixalated
