Whats Should I Do? -=!HELP!=-

Go to solution Solved by YoloSwag,

Dude just save up.

8GB of Ram is already good for the majority of games. Even your entire rig is good!

if you want X99, you better save up instead 'coz if you haven't heard, Broadwell-E is coming out soon.

The time between now and the Broadwell-E release would be ample time for you to save up, since I'm assuming you have some funds already...

So I was looking to uprgrade my RAM:

-RipsJaws 2x4GB ----> 2x8GB (DDR3)

-GTX 970 Strix ----> GTX 980ti evga

But I wanna upgrade these items too:

-FX - 8350 Black ----> i7 - 5820k

-Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 ----> Asus X-99 Deluxe or Pro

But I know this new setup will require DDR4 and I probably won't have the money for a little bit.

What should I do?

Save up

8350, 8gb and 970 is a decent rig for now

Save up for a whole new rig, and sell yours to get extra cash

This ^

That's a decent rig, you should really think about upgrading when the next generation of cards/CPUs come out.

hes right. i'd do the same thing. wait till the next gen of cpu's come out. I don't really see a reason to upgrade at this point in time

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."
