i'm thinking of finally getting an SSD and i would like to get a ASUS RoG Swift PG278Q monitor as i would like to get a great PC that i can keep and not have to do constant upgrades to. Maybe even 4K gaming in the future but i don't know, this is why i need your help :D

Upgrade parts (possible):

KEY: a '/' means 'or'

GPU: GTX 980ti / GTX 980 / GTX Titan x (also with these i'm not sure who to get them from, MSI, EVGA, GIGABYTE etc)

MOBO: i don't know ( probably Asus x79-Deluxe )

Processor: intel core I7 4930K

Power Supply: Cooler Master RM850

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws Z 16GB

SSD: i'm not sure, never had an SSD before

HDD: Keeping Same as above

everything else i have no idea, i'm kinda a newbie when it comes to building PC's as my current config was mainly built by my dad but i helped a little. If there is anything you guys would think i should need or i have just gone full retard on this build please feel free to help me out.

Thank you

It really depends on your budget ( Although seeing as you listed those GPU's i see it is a pretty large one )

As per the GPU I'd say 980Ti as its a lot cheaper than a TitanX, out performs it or is on par with it in most scenarios, if you want to be able to run everything in max settings on 4k I'd recommend just going ahead and getting 2 980Ti's to run in SLI, it wouldn't be that much more expensive than a TitanX and you would be future-proofing your rig for quite some time and should have no issue getting at least 60fps in most if not all current titles in 1440p/4k. (As for brand I usually go with Either Asus, EVGA, or MSI in that order.)

A note: For 1440p 1 980Ti will have absolutely no problem getting you smooth framerate with ultra settings in most games/If you were to get SLI, be wary that you would want to upgrade your power supply to ~1000w to make sure you have enough power, though I believe your current psu would definitely be good for 1.

SSD: Personally I'm a cheapo, but if you want performance (that's not at a ridiculously high price), I'd go with Samsung EVO(Cheaper) or Pro SSD's, the amount of storage is up to you but i'd recommend at least 240gb preferably 500 to store a bunch of games that require loading time on.

If you don't care about the price snag yourself a 400g or 1.2TB 750 Series PCI-E SSD because why the hell not. (its very fast)

As for your motherboard any high-end board with great reviews/ratings will do in all honesty, as long as it has SLI support, high build quality (I prefer Asus) and any extra features you may want.

Hope this helps!!

CPU: i7 6700K; Cooler: EK Predator 240; GPU: 2x MSI Golden 980Ti;

MB: GIGABYTE G1 Gaming 7 Z170X; RAM: 16gb G.Skillz3000Mhz;

PSU:EVGA G2 1000W; Display: Asus RoG PG279Q 27" 2560X1440 165Hz
