Old conponends in new case

Hello,

My pc has some good componends except for the videocard.

So, i wanted to buy a new case and power supply, and transfer all the remaining componends to the new case. This is because my new videocard won't fit in the old case.

My question is. Should I put everything in a new case, or should I buy an external videocard instead?

(I heard that that was a thing, not sure how it works)

External graphics cards don't offer as much performance as having them directly on the PCIe. Get a new case and PSU.

So you want to buy a new case and power supply, then move over the stuff in the old PC to the new case you bought? Also I do not think there is something as external video card... (I might be wrong!)

 

Make sure your power supply can handle the video card you bought and if it has the same connector on your motherboard, PCI Express, it should work to move all over.

Thanks for your replies, I'm going to check everything once more, and see if the componends come out. If it all goes well, I will buy the other componends.
