Hi.

Friend has 3220 and wanna upgrade on i3 6100. He found very good deal with MOBO: H110M-K D3. But now we wonder if this mobo will support ddr3 and ddr4 ? He don't have enough money now so he would put his old ddr3 1333mhz memory in until he can buy 8gb of ddr4 . We wonder if this motherborad support both ddr3 and ddr4? Ty

Honestly, if I was him I would save up longer and just wait for a proper upgrade to something like an i5/i7, an Ivy i3 is still more than enough for most games (especially since his GPU is probably going to be the bottleneck anyway -- unless he's upgraded that recently).

Also, that motherboard only supports DDR3.

Thanks guys, so better option is to stick to this i3 3220? He can play most games with his r9 280, but he wanted something new..

Yeah, he should just stick with his 3220 and just upgrade to a better GPU/i5/i7 when he's not getting the performance he wants.
