If people are saying it's important, then just do it. What I did when I upgraded from a GT 640 to a GTX 650 Ti was go into Device Manager>Display Adapters>then right-click and uninstall the driver. Just make sure you have the program Relcon(http://www.sordum.org/8366/reicon-v1-6-restore-desktop-icon-layouts/) on your computer so you can save your current Desktop icon layout. After you put in your new GPU, go to Device Manager>Display Adapters>and right-click on the new graphics card, then click "Update Driver Software...". It's not at all dificult.
