I am planning to build a PC to run medium games at decent fps. I have it built on PC Part Picker, but want some insight into it. I have a 4gb stick of RAM, a 320 gb WD scorpio i pulled from a laptop, an older 7200rpm 80gb HD(dunno if it works), and my friend has a spare copy of Win7 for me to use.

Pcpartpicker link with all parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/w9Cs23

The fan controller is because there aren't enough fan headers on the motherboard for the fans I want.

Is it good? Give some input please!

Spend more money, at least 500 dollars for parts and Windows, you're not getting your money's worth with only 319 dollars worth of parts WITH WINDOWS. ESPECIALLY without a discrete graphics card.

If you don't have enough, save your money for a little while longer and you can get something fantastic

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Ok, but not everyone has that much money. I was asking about how well MY rig would perform. If I wanted someone to design a $500 build, I would have asked.

Not well. You are running games on an A6 with no discrete card. Games need discrete cards to run well, gaming on an Intel integrated graphics or APUs is not a good idea. Unless you're going for an A10 7870K or similar with a SUPER tight budget. I can't tell you how crappy your games would run on the APU alone, as the internet has almost nothing but a few videos, but I can assure you, you will NOT have a good time

Again, wait a few more months, get a few hundred bucks, you can have something a billion times better

Well, this is temporary. I do actually plan to get a discrete GPU ASAP, but need something now to play lower end games on. Anything is better than a $300 laptop that is 3 years old.

Well adding a discrete card later on is a good idea, but the A6 still might bottleneck your discrete card. Grab a G3258 or a cheap i3 with an h series board for now, and buy the card later
