Hello :),

Before I begin with the question here my PC Spec:

AMD Athlon 62 X2 4000+ 2.11Ghz

ATI Radeon HD 6450 Sapphire edition 1GB DDR3

4GB DDR2 800Mhz Ram 2x1GB

                                     1x2GB

Monitor:Samsung Xiod IM17SM 17" with resolution 1280x1024

Power Supply:350W

So today I decided to try playing some of my games on my dad's TV -Sony Bravia KDL-32EX710 32" .The first game i tried was Counter Strike:Global Offensive running with the same settings that i use on my Monitor except of the resolution (My Monitor:1280x1024 My dad's Sony:1920x1080) and i was VERY surprised to see that I'm getting the same FPS(30-40) on higher Resolution and it was even more "smoother".The next game World of Warcraft:Wrath of the Lich King again the same result as the first game.

So my question is:How is this possible?

I thought that on higher resolution like 1080p the games should run with lower fps.Or i am wrong?

with games like that driving a few more pixels wont tax your system that much until you start getting in to ultra hd

More resolution will take more power, generally, but this would seem to indicate that something else besides resolution is "bottlenecking" the performance.  Not the way a bad CPU would hold back a good GPU, but in that for whatever reason, the limiting factor in your fps is not the resolution and so it's able to do more just as well as it can do less :).

If you keep increasing this though, you will eventually find the point where it does slow down from higher res.

Also, have you tried overclocking that CPU?  I had a 3800+ that I got up to 4.7 2.7 GHz (usually kept it at 4.5 - 4.6 2.5 - 2.6 though).  You should be able to get a decent amount more power out of it.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
