EZ Dock+Windows drive=Problems

Ok, so if anyone has seen my other topic(see here) I just bought a hard drive dock to try and gain some files from a windows server HDD that failed, However, When trying to do things with the drive, its really touchy, but i expected that seeing the drive is dying, However, I just got a new SSD, which i installed windows server on to try and move the data from the old drive to it, But when i attach it to the dock and try and do stuff to it in windows, everything starts crashing, cant do anything in windows explorer, cant close stuff cant open stuff, but as soon as i turn the HDD dock off, everything goes back to normal.

 

Can anyone help?
