My computer has a few weird issue, and I can not figure out the solution. I am running Windows 8.1 Pro, and my system uptime is always completely incorrect. As you can see in this screenshot, it shows that my system uptime is over five days.

This is not correct, as I just turned my computer on less than 10 minutes before taking this screenshot of task manager. And when I type systeminfo | findstr /C:"System Boot Time" Into cmd, it says my computer last booted up October 30 at 3:20 PM, which is not true since I turned it off last night then just turned it on again this morning(November 5).

It's not a big deal, but it's kind of odd. Does anybody have a solution to this? Thanks.

WIn 8 and 10 changes how PC's shut down .  It shuts the user kernel down but keeps the system kernel alive.  This speeds up shutting down, booting up.  A restart shuts everything.

Oh, okay. That makes sense. I was on win 7 before so I never noticed this. Thanks.
