Have you downloaded drivers: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-z-series-laptops/ideapad-z470

 

Seems to have drivers for Windows 8 try them

BTW ; have you tried downloading the drivers for the wifi adapter ? from the manufacturer website ?
