I have already established that my motherboard sata ports have been DOA, but I've been wondering about my sata power connectors.. My hdd doesn't hum when I put my screwdriver on it and listen carefully, and my optical drive does not beep. However, the PSU can power the pic because I can see all the fans spin, the gpu dan spin, and the motherboard LEDs come on. Is this a side effect of bad MOBO ports or are my PSU sata power connectors bad. Thanks.

Do you have an old power supply you can try the drives with? by themselves?

Also, the disks won't spin unless there is data being read or received.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/
