So last night I was starting up my computer from hibernation mode; as I was attempting to log in, Windows froze and subsequently restarted. Suspecting a BSoD, I went into Event Viewer and found a bug check event, as expected. After searching around for some details, as well as remembering that I had NirSoft's BlueScreenView utility, I found out it was a kernel mode exception caused by a Windows Defender component. Some of the resources I found stated that this might be a problem with the RAM; thing is, I ran MemTest86 on it a while ago (4 passes if I remember correctly) and it found no problems, so for now I'm ruling that out. Is there possibly any other reason for this error?

Having read your pinned thread about posting BSoD threads, I have included, in one ZIP file, the raw memory dump, my computer's Perfmon report, as well as the report generated by BlueScreenView, which you can grab here: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=535D55C58C78C8B9!6050&authkey=!AEFkp_CJ72rI68k&ithint=file%2czip

As for other needed information:
· OS - Windows 10 Pro x64
· What OS was originaly installed on the system? - Windows 8.1 Pro
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from a retailer)? - the original Windows 8.1 installation was from an OEM disc I bought myself
· Age of system (hardware) - almost 2 years; RAM is about one or two months old, motherboard is about 6 months old
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? - about slightly over 3 months; upgraded to Windows 10 when it went RTM from an ISO, and then reinstalled again shortly after it was officially released using a USB stick created using the official Windows 10 installation media tool
· CPU model - Intel Core i5 4670
· Video Card model - MSI Nvidia GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming 2GB
· MotherBoard - Asus Z97-Deluxe/USB 3.1
· Power Supply - Seasonic G-Series 550W
· System Manufacturer - custom build
· Exact model number (if OEM or laptop)
· Laptop or Desktop?

Another thing that I think might be important is that when I checked in the Settings app, it appears that a new definition update was just installed for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.209.1308.0). Not sure if it might be related, but just putting this out there just in case.

Can anyone help? And please don't tell me to use another anti-virus app; I don't want to bloat my system with a third-party anti-virus software, and I'm happy enough using Windows Defender and MalwareBytes Anti-Malware.

10 out of 10 would BSoD again

Seriously now.

This has only happened once, correct? If it happens once or twice more, within the next few months, then I'd start to worry. Until then, it may be nothing.
