Looking for new speaker setup

I have decided between 2 different sets of speakers that I want to get.  The airmotiv 6s's and the Kanto Yumi's.  the airmotiv's dont have bluetooth, but they look amazing.

Ass my dac I currently have a schiit modi 2 uber, which I can split between my headphone amp and speakers.

I couple other options include the audioengine a5+'s or the KRK Rokit 6 Generation 3 monitors.

What do you guys think?

They will be used for mainly music and games.

For the roughly $300 that you have here, I would recommend the JBL LSR305 over anything that you've listed so far. Definitely going to be a step up over the A5+...

I personally don't like the color scheme of KRK monitors, so unless you can get those anniversary edition platinum colored ones, I would stay away. Also, they aren't nearly as good as the JBL stuff.

Ok, I saw someone recommend those before too.  I saw someone recommended getting a preamp for easy volume adjustment, is there a decent one you would recommend for me to get with it.

I mean, this is a pretty good option. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Scarlett2i2 It also has two mic inputs, and a headphone out, should you choose to use them, so you can start getting even better audio. I think that Behringer has some that might be cheaper, but they will be significantly less pretty, if that matters to you.

Other than something like that, there isn't really a whole lot I can think of for less than $300-$500 and above.

Would something simple like a schiit sys work? Since the mic I have already have a preamp and my headphones have a very nice amp for them. That way I can match the sys with the modi, then split the output to my headphone amp and speakers.

Yeah, that should work just fine!

Ok. What extra cables will I need to buy?  From my modi I need to split the signal to go my headphone amp and the sys preamp, then of course the pre amp to each speaker.  What makes it difficult is that it doesn't say what cables each monitor comes with xD

I only have 1 rca cable which is the one that is going from the modi to the headphone amp atm.

Thanks

I looked around amazon and saw this, which seems like a pretty good deal that includes the scarlett. What do you think?
