Hi guys I am making a new PC for my self was wondering if anyone can help and tell me these specs are good enough ?

Processor 
Intel® Core i5-6600K Skylake Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)          
RAM 
Corsair Vengeance® LPX 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz
Hard Drive
Seagate ST1000DX001 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB
Colling Fan 
Cooler Master Hyper D92
Power Supply

Get a 4690K, Z97 board, DDR3 and a decent PSU - the VS and CX from Corsair are not good for a gaming build

Get a 4690K, Z97 board, DDR3 and a decent PSU - the VS and CX from Corsair are not good for a gaming build

evga xfx seasonic are good psu brands

and get a SSD ;) maybe samsung 850 evo

gpu?

Thank you for your reply I was going for that Build but one of my friends suggested that I should select the latest specs for this PC do you think I am jumping ahead with these specs ?

No sense - you're wasting about 100-150$ for 8% more CPU power - put that towards a GPU and PSU

I haven't decided yet was wondering you guys could help me out 

R9 390 if you have the cash, else R9 380.

if he want latest specs then, go with Haswell then 6600K + Z97 Motherboard, for the GPU get GTX970 or R9390

Ahh Great I am no tech expert just did random serach here an there but you have a point I should not waste extra money on things i don't understand I just want a decent build which can play games at good fps

if you want to OC, 4690K + Z97 board + R9 390

If you don't want to OC - 4460 + H97 board + 390X/980

You should really pair your 6600k with a Z170 mobo...
