About to buy €1000 of parts

ili199

I got €1100 to buy new parts for my pc

My current specs are:

Core i5 4690K @4.7ghz 1.3V

Asus maxiumus VII hero

8gb DDR3 1600mhz ram

XFX R7 260X 1gb

Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

2x 1280x1024 Samsung panels

(the rest of my specs are down below)

I want to buy a few new parts some of which I already know:

Keyboard          CM Storm Quickfire TK Red    €92,80

Headset            HyperX Could Headset            €69,90

Mousemat        CM Storm Swift RX XL             €32,80

GPU                  Not yet decided

Monitor             Not yet decided

For A monitor and GPU I have a few choices:

Gigabyte GTX980 G1 Gaming                           €542,90

Asus GTX 970 Strix                                           €358,99

Dell Ultrasharp U2515H 1440p 60Hz IPS         €311,50

Philips 272G5DYEB 1080 144Hz G-sync TN    €399,00

I live in holland and I am using tweakers.nl for the current pricing of the components.

I am mostly using the system for gaming and school work. I will use my to old monitors as secondary ones.

I like the look of the Dell panel paired with the GTX980. But what do you guys think?

Thanks for the help as always

;)

390X might be a good choice as it's almost as powerful as a 980 but costs much less

EDIT: Get a new PSU - the CX is a very bad idea with a high end GPU.

I was thinking so to but I am planing on buying a nVidia shield in the future and I would like to use game streaming.

Just saw your edit. What is wrong with the CX600M? Corsair is a good PSU brand right?

I also heard many say that the CX series are not that good. Look at superflower, seasonic or EVGA they have great gold rated psu for not high prices. You can get a 550 W superflower PSU for like 70 euro's. Also I am dutch so I know the correct prices and also use tweakers :).

Well... I did not know that the corsair CX series was so bad... Thanks for helping me save my pc!

I was looking at some new PSU's to buy and I found two I like

Cooler Master GM G650M 80+Bronze

SeaSonic G550watt 80+Gold

The G650M had only 5 star reviews on newegg and on amazon people were really positive to. The same thing with the SeaSonic one but that is a lot more expensive.

When googleing for problems on the G650M I did not find any people who had it die on them.

Do you guys think it is a good one to buy?

SeaSonic is waaaay better - GM are tier 3, SeaSonic is tier 1.

I don't know but seasonic is overall just better then the cooler master. cooler master also has good series of PSU's but they are pretty expensive where you can get the same one from seasonic or superflower for less. My neighbour kid recently put one in his system, the G serie 80+ gold rated PSU. A very beautifull one comes with a bag for spare cable's and has a nice clean build and even with only 2 fans on his case I didn't hear the PSU. Also the corsair is bronze where the seasonic is gold.

Says enough also a great website to see what an electrical engineer thinks about a PSU :D.
