Need help picking a keyboard.

I'm looking for a backlit Cherry MX blue switch mechanical keyboard.

I'm thinking about getting a Logitech G710+ or a Razer Black Widow Ultimate 2013 version.

I am a coder/ scripter so I type a lot, and also I play fast paced games. Hopefully that helps with suggestions.

Please post your ideas, suggestions/ favorites.

Thanks =]

I would recommend the Ducky Shine II if you can find one available, although the G710+ is also a great choice. Go with the one you think looks the best and has the features for you.

Just a thought, blue switches aren't the best for fast paced games where double tapping a lot is needed, however I game on blues and don't notice a difference in performance at all. Writing codes and scripts probably takes priority over gaming anyways!

My son has the BWU 2013 keyboard - very nice and solid. The green backlit is excellent on this keyboard and very customization.

I think the Logitech G710+ uses brown switches not blue switches. Correct me if I am wrong about this... The Quickfire TK by Coolermaster is a great keyboard if you want to save space on your desk because the TK has their del,home etc. and numpad keys on the same keys and you can switch between them. This keyboard is a blue backlit keyboard.

Why are blue switches not recommended for double taping ?

You're right, G710+ does use brown switches

The release point is actually above the actuation point of the switch, so it requires more travel distance to reproduce a double tap.
