Need help with psu specs.

Hi guys,

 

So i'm ordering parts.

 

so this is my psu, bequiet system power model : BQT S6-SYS-UA-550W

 

Now i know this is enough power. i just wonder if i have enough pins for the nvidia 970.

 

I looked up the mo number and i think these are the right specs :

 

20/24 pin connection mobo

8x stat p

4x hdd p

1x fdd p

1x 12v p4 plug

1x 12v p8 plug

2x pcie cables vor nvidia sli and amd crossfire

 

any toughts? thanks.

Yes, it has enough for a 970. 

 

According to this it has 2x 6+2 pin PCIe connectors. The stock 970 uses 2x 6pin connectors and a lot of aftermarket ones use 1x 8pin and 1x 6 pin. You have enough for a 2x 8 pin card.

I'm not sure why you are saying good luck...

You'll be fine but it will be close depending on what cpu you have. If you can try to get a 650 or a 750 for possible upgrades in the future

i'm pairing it with a i5 4690k. my friend is running the same rig with an r9 290 and that's a powersucker. so i should be fine
