I wouldn't go much further than 1.95v for 24/7 on air, 2v on custom loop would be OK.

 

Usually you don't need much more than 1.9v unless you're pushing cache & cpu with lots of volts.

I wouldn`t go higher then 1.3V on air and 1.8V on water

 

 

Stock VCCIN is 1.75-1.8v on almost all boards, this ain't vcore :P

I'm not an overclocker :P - haven't actually done it myself but I do read up about it :D

VCCIN is the only voltage with a known range from intel, 1.65-1.86V. When overclocking it auto sets at 1.9V, and that's the top I'd use. Every chip is different, but haswell can usually work with a VCCIN 400-500mV higher than vcore, which means >1.9V should only be needed when pushing the vcore over 1.4V, and 2.0V or higher should only be used when testing extreme OC with insane custom water loops or LN2.

 

My suggestion is to use 1.9V to get the desired or possible overclock, and when you have it, start lowering VCCIN to the minimum stable.

I personally have it at 1.76V with a vcore of 1.36V.
