Replace ISP supplied router.

Hi,

 

The router the ISP supplied me with it quite bad - weak signal and it just plain hangs if I use the Steam server browser.

 

I'm on a fiber optic line - so the wire comes into my home, is connected to an ONT unit, which is then connected to a Technicolor Gateway wifi router.

 

When setting up the wifi router, I had to enter a username and password to get it to connect to the internet. I tried connecting my computer directly to the ONT and setting up a PPPoE connection using said credentials, but it couldn't connect.

 

Are there any routers out there that could support such a login interface? My ISP also said the replacement router also needed to support something called "VLAN tagging".
