USB not working

Go to solution Solved by Blacidevil,

So as it turns out after a bit of research unless you follow an extensive and annoying route of slip streaming the old usb drivers into the Windows 7 install you pretty much can't do it. You're basically SOL if you want Skylake and W7. I've had to upgrade to W10 unfortunately.

So I just upgraded from an AMD 8320 to an 1151 i7 with the Z170-A bored. I attempted to install the drivers for the USB devices through ASUS bit after the USB 3.0 driver install all my USB devices stopped working on Windows. I am using Windows 7 64 bit. I still have the ability to use these devices in BIOS but not on the windows screen. I contacted ASUS. They said reset the CMOS and hung up. Any ideas?

The headers on the motherboard are installed correctly right?

EDIT: DON'T READ THIS. I'M AN IDIOT AND DIDN'T READ THE WHOLE THING.

The reason they work in the BIOS is because the BIOS has its own built in USB drivers. Boot into safe mode if you can and try installing USB drivers.

I downloaded the drivers straight from the product page. Everything works fine up until I get into Windows. And even in safe mode it is still not letting me use the mouse. If it helps any I plugged in a P/S2 mouse and it still didn't work but the P/S2 keyboard does.
