Need help with new gpu

hey guys, im super povo but need a new gpu so i can play gta 5 and battlefield better. I'll have $300 AUD at the most to spend on a new or used gpu. Should i buy an r9 380 or gtx 960 or some used GPU like a 280x. halp plez
