Mic not working on steam

so i noticed this when no one was listening to me on CSGO but my mic's work fine as you can hear but they are not showing up in steam? they work fine on skype and google hangouts and nvidia shadow play

Check if it's not using the other mic

Did you check the game's audio settings? btw whats that cool date/time thing in the corner? 

yeah its maxed out as well but CSGO all ways mutes the mic for some reason when i launch it and the time is a skin for rain meter http://lilshizzy.deviantart.com/art/Rainmeter-Simple-Media-1-1-212678796
