Audio Setup

I have put together this setup mainly for communicating with my friends over Skype and stuff like that. No recording! However, I would like to save the ears of my closest friends and not fry them with some crappy built-in "microphone" that many headsets include. I have found a couple headsets that may be good enough for my needs, such as the Audio Technica ATH-ADG1s and the SteelSeries Siberia Elite Prism. The ADG1s are much better than the Siberia Elites, but I will have to wait to purchase them until Christmas. If you have any headset recommendations, let me know please! My other option that seems very attractive is a separate mic setup with audiophile-grade headphones, which are easily upgradable. I have picked out this inexpensive mic that doesn't require phantom power:
