Hi, so i'm just going to get straight to the point.

Second one is a bit more interesting since it has Bluetooth which is handy but probably not something i will use much if not use at all.

Thanks, Luke.

What do you mean? Is there a socket near the router as well as the computer, if so the answer is yes. Would this be better?

Yep, it normally works a lot better than WiFi, but it can depend on the wiring in the building. It's like a middle ground between hardwire and wifi

Ok, what kind of price would this be? Also what kind of speeds, as well as can you send me some that you reccomend (tp-link for example). This would also be quite helpful as well since i have a ps3 that the wifi does not work well all the time so with Ethernet power line i could split it...maybe.

They tend to operate around the 300-500Mbps range, though I've found that my board's NIC will only operate at 100Mbps when connected to it, as it can only operate at 10/100/1000. It could be an issue for local file transfers (if you're doing that), but it would still be better than WiFi for that. It still works fine for streaming multiple HD videos over the LAN for me.

You're looking at around £25 for a set of two. You could add a small switch to that (for splitting for the PS3) and probably be within budget.

I TP-Link ones for my laptop and connection for some PCs upstairs (not these specifically). There's the two port set which would allow you to connect both the PS3 and PC without a separate switch.

Do you have a router that supports 5GHz wireless? How far are you away from your router? Walls? As Oshino Sniobu said, powerline is an option. My dad uses it, I use wireless so I can't tell how good it is. I can just tell you that we only had a software issue once and it could be fixed easily by doing a software update that consited of clicking "next". I can't tell you anything about speeds or latency but for daily use it is definitely not worse than wifi. I sometimes have connection issues where as my dad is issue-free. Are you living in a rural area or a urban area? Powerline can reach pretty far and can quickly cuase issues with multiple people in a confined space using it for different networks( in trems of speed mostly).

No i dont have a 5GHz router, unfortunately. About 10m at most and 2 walls, interior(plasterboard/stud work). Ok and ok. Oh right, well i can click next :D. Ok i see that sounds issue free and im in an urban area. It's not that much of a distant in wiring times. What do you, if i split it it might cause lots of problems?
