i there i would like to ask can you setup multiple raid in one system? like 1 have 2 ssd and 2 hdd i would like to put in raid 0 but im not sure if you can do that. one more thing if you can setup 2 raids how about 3 im just wondering

thanks for the help everyone

You can have different RAID arrays in the same box, even on the same controller. Your only limitation would be how many ports are on the RAID controller (and even then you can just install another controller or use software raid for the non-parity RAID arrays anyways (Software raid is 'fine' where a parity calculation isn't needed)).

In your example, Software RAID would be fine, as there is no parity checking required for RAID 0 (just keep in mind that each controller is a little special snow flake and might not see the array of another controller, moving between brands increases this risk).

Hey there _BJE_,

It is up to the RAID controller of your computer and if you are using hardware or software RAID. I believe you'd like to boot from the RAID0 array with the SSDs and have the RAID0 array with the HDDs for storage. You can do that as long as your motherboard supports RAID boot. You can configure your RAID0 array with the SSDs from the BIOS, freshly install the OS and then you can configure the Striped array with the HDDs in the Disk Management.
Do have in mind that setting up a RAID array formats the drives and the data will be deleted so back up anything that you have on these drives. Also, RAID0 offers no redundancy whatsoever so I would strongly suggest having backups of your data on external storage drives. :)

Feel free to ask if you happen to have questions,
