I was wondering what is probably my best bet for settings with OBS for a FX 6300. (Fortunately from what I hear it's a great budget streaming/recording CPU)

I currently run at 10,000kb/s bitrate (for recording, don't know what I should use for streaming), and I have my H.264 Preset at superfast (not sure if I should put it higher).

Is there anything I should probably change for this? And what are probably good settings for streaming (my upload speed is 10mbps or 1.25 megabytes a second)

What kind of games are you streaming. Also can you run using veryfast because that's the standard and will yield slightly higher quality encoding.

GTX 980 Ti / 5820k / 16 GB DDR4 / 500 GB SSD / ATH-M50X

Various games. To list a few that I have been testing with lately:

Source games, Call of duty (Modded maps for WaW :D).

I think that for those games I might be able to run it at faster instead of veryfast. I also have some more demanding games as well though.

For livestreaming i'd say 720p, 30fps with 2500 bitrate.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

Basically make a new profile, set your bitrate to 3500, set the base resolution to your resolution, set a downscale to 1280 by 720, set a keyframe interval of 2, set audio bitrate to 128, enable CBR, disable custom buffer size, set your FPS to 50, set your CPU preset to veryfast, and leave everything else default. I have a 980ti and a 5820k and still stream in 720p because your stream will look better than 1080p at Twitch's max bitrate of 3500. Basically the higher the FPS and resolution, the higher the bitrate needs to be to achieve a quality image. FPS is good because it looks smooth, but requires less bitrate. If you feel like you want more quality, you could adjust your bitrate to 4500 max. This is not what Twitch recommends, but it will work. If you go into 4500+, Twitch may temporarily or permanently disable your broadcast. I don't really know how these settings will respond to your hardware. The first thing I would change if it doesn't work well would be the FPS down to 30 or the CPU preset to something faster. Finally, the most efficient way of capturing fullscreen PC gameplay is Game Capture. If this doesn't work, Window and Monitor Capture will also work, BUT only on Windows 8, 8.1, 10.
