New PC not starting up.

Go to solution Solved by bluefire908,

Well,it turns out i had to use a dvi cable and then everything worked out fine!!!!,installed drivers and hdmi works now.

Hey guys,i built a pc for my cousin, the first time i powered it on ,all the light lit up and the fans worked but it wouldnt show anything on screen,i asked ppl here and everyone told it was a problem with the motherboard,so i changed the mobo and got the gigbyte ga-78-lmt-s2pt,applied new thermal paste and rebuilt the pc,one improvement is that on the old mobo(an msi one)the cd drive would close by itself after 3-4 sec once it opens, that dosent happen on the mobo, but the same problems continue, the usb ports dont work and the system won display anything.

The monitor is a BENQ RL series one,i tried several connections

motherboard DVI port-----monitor DVI port------monitor gives message no signal

graphics card hdmi port-----monitor hdmi port------monitor gives message no cable connected

my gpu dosent have dvi(the blue cable but has the white thing though i dont know the name)

specs

fx 6300

gigabyte ga 78 lmt s2pt

corsair vs550

8gb single channel corsair ram

1tb wd blue hdd

ill check back in 1 hour, since this is my cousin's pc its his money so im really freaked out now because i cant pay him back if i shit on anything plz rly need help.

What model GPU?

Remove GPU and plug in DVI port on Motherboard, then remove battery on motherboard, wait 1 minute, put battery in, start system without GPU.

If it boots and shows stuffs on display, install GPU, plug monitor cable into GPU.

Your processor has no integrated graphics, so it is useless to try and plug the monitor in the motherboard, since nothing will happen. Re-seat your GTX 950 check over all the cabling. Make sure the HDMI cable is all the way plugged into the monitor and that there is power running to that monitor.

Repeat above process.

But now, when installing battery back and turn it ton, go to BIOS and search for preffered graphics or something, and switch to external.

There must be some option like that.

After that, save BIOS settings and shut down, install the GTX and try to boot.
