"Optimising Apps" loop

TheDeadGhost

Hi,

Yesterday my Nexus 5's battery drained really quickly, it was dead after 6 hours of idling. When I tried to start it, it went to "Optimising apps # of #" like it usually does after an OS update. It gets stuck on a random number and after a minute the screen just turns off and the device is completely unresponsive (can't turn it back on or anything) for a few mins. After a few mins I can start it again and it does the same thing.

I'm not very comfortable messing with the os on my phone or flashing stuff onto it so what would be the best thing to do? Return it to the store?

Thanks for any help!

Contact google support, they will most likely have a fix.

Open a live chat when they are open, as the only fixes I can think of apart from returning it is to flash a new ROM or wipe your cache
