Computer Shuts down for Couple seconds

So this has been happening for some time but its starting to really bug me. When I'm using my computer for just anything at all, sometimes everything shuts down and automatically restarts itself after a couple of seconds. I don't know if its the PSU or whatever. I just need to find out what going on with it.

try re installing the cables or try switching the PSU

Yeah this probably seems highly related to psu, like as if your system demands so much power your psu cant handle it. Or that the psu is faulty.

Alright, I tried getting an RMA going for it but I just don't wanna wait for another PSU and not having a computer to use.

Also the power cable is plugged into a power extension...does that make a difference?

It shouldn't unless it's really low quality, have you tried reinstalling the cables tho?

no I haven't, so do i just take them out and put them back in then?

Yes and make sure there are no bent pins in the cables and firmly install the cable for the 24 pin, 6+2 CPU and the 6+2 x2 PCI-E cable for the graphics card
