one dimm per channel motherboard?

I am thinking of getting a board with the H110 chipset but it only supports one dimm per channel, what does this mean exactly?

The board has 4 slots, so can I use 2 sticks of 8GB in dual channel? I am confused.

so far, it should be dual channel, but in the H110 mobos, means they will carry

both 2x DDR3L (low voltage) and 2x DDR4 DIMM slots. can only occupy either

the DDR3L or DDR4 slots, not both. making the DIMM slots non-dual channel

would be counterproductive.

so 2 dimms per slot motherboard can use all 4 slots in dual channel? and 1 dimm per slot motherboard can only use 2 slots in dual channel?

2 DIMMS of DDR3L (will be dual channel) or

2 DIMMS of DDR4 (will be dual channel), just cannot use both..
