thinking of a building a htpc, or just buy a nvidia shield. The shield is only $200, which comes with the controller. It has game stream which will work great with my pc, I guess I could use steam in home stream but still, I cant really build a system that $200. cus X4 860K with a mobo is $150 alone. Also it wouldnt have wifi and bluetooth, and the living room friendly OS.

Sounds like a shield would fit your needs a lot better. It definitely seems like a better package for the price especially as for a htpc half the budget would go towards a copy of windows

Yeah, I'd buy a shield TV if I was in your situation, it'll do 4K, which I doubt your X4 860K will
