Ram installation?

In my motherboard manual it says that channel A includes DIMM slot 2 and 4, but they are right next to eachother. 

 

Is this right?

use the same color dimms

 

usually its the 2 further from the cpu socket 

 

so for this board it would be the grey slots (edited cause im an idiot)

The light grey ones. They need to be in the same color
