Hi

I am thinking of getting a MSI GP70 2QF-603NE laptop.

But i have a couple questions.

I asked MSI if the keyboard is LED or not, and if there is room for 2 Hdd (want to put my own ssd in it) but they havent answered back yet (1 week ago) They might be busy, thought id ask here.

Lastly, what is the overall quality of msi gaming laptops? perhaps somone even knows the model i am looking for? noise levels etc.

it is a replacement for my belowed m17r3 - 2860qm, sadly the display went wrong on it :-(

+4years old, and very heavy use, so i am not complaining.

id get a ge apache model if I were you. its much better.

also I think it has a m.2 ssd slot.  since on the msi page it sais 128gb + 1tb sata drive.

but thats what they can ship it with.. so you probably have a m.2 slot

Not really helpfull since i have loads of ssd's and no m.2 (non that are not in use anyway) and i dont need the upgraded grafiqs. It is however a possibility if the GP70 does not have a backlid keyboard.

I second the person who said to get an apache. I have the Apache pro 15 inch model. Thing is bad ass. This thing is super quiet when the fans are barely on. Also the fans sometimes aren't on so that's super cool. My old MSI didn't do that. I used to have the GS60 and it broke. The fans on that thing were ALWAYS ON. And it was super hot just using the internet. The hinge for the screen was messed up from day one, and the plastic on the back of that ended up breaking into a ton of little pieces. The apache pro is bigger and has more plastic but has better build quality overall, in my opinion. Apache Pro has the light up keyboard which is pretty cool, and the apache pro has 1tb and 128 ssd :). I'm not entirely sure if there is another slot for a hard drive, but if you're just after an ssd then you're good because it already has it.

I looked at my options, and after some researche found a MSI GE72 2QD-013NE at roughly 100$ more than the GP70. So i ordered it ;)

Thank you Guys for the help.
