H97 vs B85

Do I need to go for H97 or settle for B85 for the following build

i5 4440

G.Skill Sniper 4gbx2

R9 380

Seasonic Gold 550W

Depends if you need the features of the H97 then yes but just go with the B85M otherwise.

the B85 is a very CHEAP chipset aimed at for business uses with very low featurees.

H97 has tons more features, is newer and more expensive.

What features actually other than extra I/O ports (USB ports and all) and PCI connectors...???

Can limit you a lot in certain areas, for example no running virtual machines (I THINK DONT QUOTE ME). Some minor things, if I where you I would go with the H97 for a bit extra. (If this is a gaming/all purpose machine). If it is a browsing machine then meh.

 

Also, H97 has less performance in things such as SATA speed. I just Googles this one.
