This is my current specs:

MOBO: MSI z77a-g43

CPU: i7-3770k

GPU: EVGA GTX 760 SC

RAM: Kingston Hyperx Genesis 8G 1600 / Kingston Hyperx Fury 8G 1866

PSU: Seasonic S12II 520W Bronze

COOLER: CM 212EVO

SSD: Crucial BX100 250G

HHD: WD 1TB Blue / Seagate 2TB

BIOS Version: Currently v2.13, I updated a long time ago without any problems, the board comes with v1.3

My problem is that yesterday I tried overclocking my CPU for the first time, though I thought I did enough research about overclocking, watched tons of videos and forum posts, I began my overclocking process, and then BOOM, i was stuck in bootloop.

I did a lot of different fixes with clearing CMOS and unplugging the PSU, but it still didn't work, so I went to sleep and tried again this morning(I live in Taiwan).

First, The problem currently is that I unplugged all my RAM and only put one back in(the Hyperx Genesis) dim 1 slot, the bottom right corner of the screen shows A2 and then it tries to boot up, but couldn't and the system shuts down.

Next, I tried putting the RAM is duo channel(Hyperx Genesis) and then the system detects that I have changed my configuration, so I press F2 for run setup and continue, after that it still has the A2 text, but it boots up into the BIOS page!

I thought i fixed it, and see all the BIOS settings are back to default, so I saved the BIOS settings and rebooted, but the second time it tries to boot, it couldn't and the screen is the same as when I put 1 RAM into the system.

So right I could plug in 1 dim of RAM, turn it off and then put the second RAM into the system and then it will boot, but if I restart my computer, the problem comes back.

I tried this method with the Kinston Hyperx Fury RAM, but it doesn't work. Also that if I populate 4 dim slots, the system also bootloops.

Sorry for my poor english, if there's something you don't understand, I will try to clear it up again with updates.

I also tried to call MSI support, but I was put on hold for about 90 minutes.

Thanks for your help!! I am really in a hurry cause I need my computer fast in Architecture major.

Luke
