What are the advantages of the 390 over the 970? I heard the 970 was better with power consumption and temp...(BTW i love the vanu :)  )

(Spandex POWER) R9 390 has twice the VRAM...

R9 390 has 4GB more VRAM and so outperforms the GTX 970 at 1440p and 4K, they are roughly equal at 1080p IIRC.

390 is the best bang for the buck card available (performance per dollar , 970 consumes less power while it is also weaker)

 

P.S , my 390x never went over 75 Celsius
