Dual Link DVI not working

I have an nVidia GTX 750ti and an Asus VG248, connected together with a Dual Link DVI Cable. The monitor manual says that a Dual Link cable is required for 144Hz. However in nVidia X Server settings on ubuntu 15.04, it only shows the link to the monitor as single.

 

Any suggestions? I don't have another cable to test with ATM as all my spare cables are at home (100 miles away).
