Hey guys, sorry for the long post, but I want your suggestions on what I should do here...

I am selling my current build (below) to a friend for $250-$300. I am then building a PC for myself for a budget of around $500. I don't mind swapping a few parts out of my current PC and replacing them with other ones before I sell it too, for example taking the Z97 Mobo out of my current PC and replacing it with a H81 mATX or something along those lines, as my friend would not be overclocking.

I have several ideas for what I could do, such as getting a 4690k with my current Mobo and giving my Pentium + another mobo to my friend, or just selling all of it as it is to my friend and then buying a used 2500k and 1155 mobo.

Basically I'm trying to build two computers out of the one I have now for $500 total and can buy whatever new parts I need while keeping it under the budget. Mine would be the faster of the two, as he doesn't care too much about performance, but still needs a dedicated GPU (I would probably give him my 5870 and Pentium with my current case)

I currently have:

Gigabyte Z97-HD3

Pentium G3420

Radeon HD 5870

700W Coolmax PSU

1 stick 8 GB DDR3

1 stick 4 GB DDR3

Multiple SSD's and HDD (storage drives are not an issue)

I know it is confusing so ask any questions you need! :)

Main PC: i5 4590 @ 3.5 GHz ♦ RX 480 Armor OC ♦ 16 GB DDR3 ♦ GA-Z97-HD3 ♦ 120 GB 840 EVO ♦ 120 GB Intel 520 ♦ W10 Home

Scrapyard PC: Xeon X5460 @ 3.8 GHz ♦ HD 7870 ♦ 8 GB DDR2 ♦ GA-P35-DS3L ♦ 80 GB Intel 320 ♦ 160 GB WD Caviar SE ♦ W10 Home

Keep Z97 and 1x8 GB stick. After that, get a 380 and a 4460.
